New Closure Method and Giveaway for a FREE Gift!

I've been working on a new closure method. Please share what you think of it and get a free gift! The look I was trying to achieve was a more organic natural look for a closure. This look is obtained by using a piece of natural twine, and winding it around a recycled brown wooden button from an old sweater.

The original closure is a laminated slice of paper around the middle of the journal with a white disc stating, "Preserve the Moment. Preserve the Earth! An Eco-Friendly Journal by Journal Junky."

To be eligible for the Free Gift, Please state which closure you like and why, and which one you don't like and why.

When you comment, please include your email address. I will have a drawing at the end of January. If your name is drawn, I will email you for your mailing address and send you a free gift. (The gift is a new journal I will be introducing in February!)

I appreciate your input!

  1. really like the words written on the closing but looking at the picture seems too fragile a closure ... ok, it's plastic but I do not break the delicate at once. Anyway your work is very beautiful ... compliments
    Sorry for my English.

  4. I love the new closure. Its a bit simpler, and specifically i like that it exposes more of the cover! Its looks very natural too, which goes with the eco-friendly statement that you make with the old style.

    Anyway, thumbs up, great idea!!

  5. Well I have to say I like the original white circle with your "slogan" the best...mainly because I like what your slogan says about the journals/company. The button is just too bulky for me and would not like to have to display these as a shop owner with the bulky button and twine getting caught up with other merchandise, etc. Hope this helps, fondly, Roberta

  7. I LOVE the button closure - its unique and stands out from other closures. I have seen the paper closure on other products, but never the button, so the OOAK factor is a definite plus!! Also, I seems more reusable and sturdy than the paper closure. LOVE your selection!
