At a Loss For Words? Wednesday's Thoughts-THERE IS HOPE!

Hi to all. The holiday season is a very special season, joyful to some, busy to most, sad to many. It is sometimes difficult to notice the needs of others' in their pain especially when our life is going pretty well. Did you know that a large number of suicides happen around this time of the year? People are living without hope due to some unknown tragedy. What kind of hope do you have to offer others?

One particular tragedy comes to mind, and I believe it is one with which we all can associate; the news that we or a family member has cancer. So many people have heard this news and have lost all hope, but life still goes on. My aunt was diagnosed with cancer, and we almost lost her this time two years ago, but she did not lose hope. She found hope and support in God, her family, friendship, and a kind word from strangers who knew what she was going through.

I came upon this little poem. The Author is Unknown. I will share it with you. Perhaps you can share it with someone else, or perhaps you will just write it down in your journal and reflect...

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO

Cancer is Limited-

It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit!
